Who we Are
The constitution of the Argentine Baptist Association (ABA), took place on Saturday, August 20, 2005, in El Redentor Baptist Church in the city of Rosario, Argentina.

The new association was constituted by more than 250 delegates from Baptist churches representing all of Argentina, inspired by the text “As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving” (Col. 2:6-7).

The new Argentine Baptist Association comes as a willful commitment of churches and individuals to historical Baptist principles, such as the priesthood of all believers, the competency of the soul before God, and the autonomy of the local congregation.

In this way, these churches and individuals gathered at the ABA are committing to each other to build a new space in which to renew and maintain the roots of the Christian faith and the historic Baptist way of being the church.

The Argentine Baptist Association has issued a Declaration of Principles. We are members of the Union of Baptists in Latin America and the Baptist World Alliance. The ABA values and cherishes its fellowship with historical Baptist churches, associations, conventions or unions, and with the greater Body of Christ represented in the Church universal.
